tda carried out detailed feasibility studies to assist in the purchase of Voyager House. Our role included all interior and architectural design including successfully obtaining planning consent for a front six storey extension as well as a two storey roof extension.
All liaison with Croydon Council was via tda. As a result of a pre – let to Mott Macdonald (for whom we also did the fit out) only the front extension was constructed.
The scope of the works on site included the construction of the glass and steel extension with all associated construction works as well as the comprehensive refurbishment of the existing 26,000 sq ft of office space.
This entailed a comprehensive demolition, a new mechanical and electrical installation, seamless co-ordination of finishes between the old building and the new extension and a complete interior fit out for the new tenant.
“Given the size of the project, the complexity of the work and the state of the building, we were always going to be up against it as far as programming was concerned, however this proved unfounded. This was due to tda's management of all the elements including in particular Charles's project management skills and a very reliable site foreman”
